1. So Theo, starting off easy, how long have you managed Zan Fish Heatherton?
I’ve actually been manager at the Heatherton store for 6 years. Wow, it sounds crazy now that I'm thinking about it. The time has flown by and I’ve learnt so much along the way, I remember when I first met the team and I instantly connected with them all. From then on I knew I was getting into something great and I’ve grown a lot as a person and manager when I think back to past me.
2. What are your day to day duties as a manager at Zan Fish?
I’m not afraid to get my hands dirty, just like the rest of the team really. I do everything from cutting salads to serving customers and helping to clean up when needed.
That’s the great thing about working at Zan Fish, no day is ever the same and it’s all about teamwork. Everyone makes sure to help where they can and maintain high standards.
3. What’s your favourite thing about working at Zan Fish?
By far my favourite things about working at Zan Fish are my incredible staff and our fantastic customers.
I’ve had the pleasure of meeting so many different types of people in the 6 years I’ve been here, I never thought I’d get as lucky as I have with my team of kind and hardworking people. And the customers really make Zan Fish what it is, without them, we wouldn’t be able to do it.
I also love how at Zan Fish Heatherton, we sell delicious traditional Greek gyros! We’re the only Zan Fish store that sells them and they are a firm favourite with our customers and team.
4. What’s your favourite Zan Fish menu item?
Oh, this one's easy. It has to be our cheeseburger with chips and BBQ sauce! I could literally eat that twice a day no questions asked.
5. What are your hobbies outside of work?
I love playing golf. It’s got the perfect balance between being relaxing and competitive. It’s just a great sport to play with friends and family or on my own if I want.
6. Do you have any hidden talents/a party trick?
Easily my best party trick is being able to open a bottle of champagne with a knife.
Now that I’m thinking about it, I can also cut the donner kebab with my eyes closed, which I think is pretty cool, but don’t try this at home.
